01. Vulnerable Women Benefit (VWB) Program: A total of 23615 beneficiaries have been selected in all upazilas of Sunamganj district through online application every 2 years under the VWB program for food security. Various income enhancing trainings and 30kg bags of rice are distributed every month to the selected beneficiaries. Duration of each cycle is 02 years. NGO is selected from head office to conduct training.At present, the NGO is organizing teams in each union to provide training and conduct activities such as uddhikaran for accumulation of savings. Rice is being distributed subject to monthly savings of Tk 220 per beneficiary in own bank, agent bank.
02. ICVWB Project: Under ICVWB project for food security in Tahirpur Upazila various income enhancing training and distribution of 30.3 kg rice per month to VWB beneficiaries at union level and duration of 02 years per cycle. NGO is selected from head office to conduct training. At present, the NGO is organizing teams in each union to provide training and conduct activities such as uddhikaran for accumulation of savings. Key Activities of ICVWB:
a) A beneficiary will get 30.3 kg of nutritious rice instead of normal rice per month of VWB cycle.
b) Capacity building and intensive support in business management to develop the beneficiaries as entrepreneurs.
c) Cash assistance of Rs.15,000/- (fifteen thousand) to each beneficiary for investment in an income generating activity.
d) Providing support through social behavior change and communication to increase nutritional intake of beneficiaries.
03. Mother and Child Support Program: 88 unions and 4 municipal areas under Sunamganj District under the Mother and Child Support Program select monthly data entry in MIS software of the beneficiary and make EFT every month as beneficiary's own bank, mobile bank, agent bank. Digital Payment is being made directly from Bangladesh Bank by BEFTN method. In this program, training and financial assistance is being provided to the beneficiaries at the rate of Rs. 800/- per month for nutrition.
04. Livelihood Program (Vocational Training): Almost half of the population of this populous country are women. They are imparted various vocational training to transform them into skilled manpower to participate in the economic mainstream. As a part of this, 100 trainees of 20 per trade under the district office are being trained in computer office application, mobile phone servicing, dress making and tailoring, saw-piece and handicraft making and block batik and trade for a period of 03 months. Each trainee is paid attendance allowance at the rate of Rs.100/- per day. The admission process for the next batch is ongoing.
05. IGA Training Scheme: 50 trainees are being trained in fashion design, mushroom verming compost handicraft and beautification every 03 months through the Upazila Level Women Income Enhancer (IGA) scheme in all upazilas of Sunamganj district. At present, beautification and sales and display center establishment activities are going on at the district level. Where the center will be run by 4-6 entrepreneurs participating in the vocational training conducted in different upazilas by the Directorate of Women Affairs. The center will display and sell the products produced by the Directorate of Women Affairs of different upazilas, National Women's Organization, Jayita, registered women's associations.
06. Micro credit program for self employment of women: A total of 1,21,20,000/-(one crore twenty one lakh twenty thousand) micro credit has been disbursed to 1,21,20,000/-(one crore twenty one lakh twenty thousand) among 1478 helpless, poor women in all upazilas including district and loan recovery is approx. There is no credit supervisor/debt collector for debt collection in Directorate of Women Affairs. Disbursed loans will be disbursed at a convenient time if the disbursement is satisfactory and the amount is satisfactory.
07. Kishore Kishori Club Establishment Scheme: 92 clubs of 92 unions of the district have been established. Mainly through the clubs, the main objective of Kishore Kishori Club is to enable marginalized teenagers from different walks of life to prevent child marriage and gender based violence and strengthen their position through various trainings to increase awareness about Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. Bringing positive changes in the society by creating a favorable and friendly environment through the participation of teenagers in various creative and cultural activities and creating psycho-social behavior mutual relations. The clubs are conducting music and recitation training to 10 boys and 20 girls 02 days per week. District Upazila Women's Affairs Officer and all employees and 2 field supervisors of the project are regularly conducting direct and e-monitoring of clubs following health rules.
08. EPC Project: Under the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, various awareness trainings for women and children were organized by setting up 61 clubs in Shantiganj and Biswambharpur upazilas in Sunamganj district. In the said trainings, there is a discussion about raising awareness among the local population about the effects of child marriage, child labour, abuse of women, dowry, eviction and other negative practices. Women education, women development and women entrepreneurship are organized through clubs. A stipend of Rs.12000/- is provided in 03 installments to girls aged 10-19 years.
09. OCC: Activities are being conducted by setting up one stop crisis cell at Sunamganj District Sadar Hospital and Chatak Upazila Health Complex under the multisectoral program to prevent violence against women under the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs. Legal assistance psychosocial counselling, life skills training, rehabilitation and reintegration into society, shelter services are provided to abused women and children.
10. Celebration of various days: International Women's Day, Begum Rokeya Day, Girl Child Day, Mother's Day, Martyrdom Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family, Birth Anniversary of Bangmata Begum Fazilatun Nesha Mujib are observed with due dignity. Apart from this, other days indicated by the government are also observed with due dignity individually and in joint participation with the district administration.
11. Bangladesh in pursuit of victory: International Day for the Prevention of Violence against Women (November 25 to December 10) and Begum Rokeya Day (December 9) are celebrated every year. Through the program entitled "Bangladesh in search of victory" in every upazila and union level of Sunamganj district, with the aim of inspiring the successful women of Trinamool in various fields, by identifying women from different sectors of the society, giving them due respect, recognition and inspiration, creating confidence among the upstanding women of the society and their victory. is inspired to be.
12. Prevention of women abuse activities: Taking complaints of victimized and helpless women in various upazilas of Sunamganj district and settling family disputes through arbitration/counseling between the plaintiff and the defendant. Arrangements are made for recovery of maintenance for women victims of domestic violence. Arrangements are made to collect dowry from abused and divorced women. To arrange for the maintenance of minor children. Discouragement of dowry system and data on incidents of violence against women published in Courts, Police Stations, OCCs and Newspapers are maintained and followed up. To work for the prevention of child marriage in all activities, training etc. conducted by Directorate of Women Affairs, Sunamganj.
